Companion Animal/Mixed Veterinarian
About this role
The Vet Centre, is on the lookout for a dedicated Companion Animal or Mixed Veterinarian to join our team. With five clinics spanning the picturesque Kaipara and Bream Bay regions of the winterless North, we offer a unique blend of professional fulfilment and idyllic lifestyle.
The Role
We’re looking for a companion animal or mixed veterinarian to join our friendly Maungaturoto team. You’ll enjoy a truly varied caseload from family pets through to farm dogs. Our clinics service dairy, sheep & beef and equine clients - so if you love keeping your hand in large animal work this could be the perfect role. You’ll be working alongside an experienced team of mixed and companion animal vets, with the support of our skilled vet nurses, techs, and customer service teams who create a collaborative and positive working environment.
We’re flexible on working arrangements and can offer a four or five-day week to suit your lifestyle. Whether you're an experienced vet or a recent graduate, we’d love to hear from you.
About You
You’re not just looking for a job; you’re seeking a community where you can make a real impact. With a knack for building relationships, your exceptional communication skills set you apart. You’re driven by a desire to practice a high standard of medicine and surgery, all while enjoying the camaraderie of our team and the appreciation of our client base.
Our Clinic
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including digital x-ray, a comprehensive in-house laboratory, ultrasound and dental machine, our Maungaturoto clinic provides everything you need to provide high quality veterinary care to the local community. Plus, with internal referral to our ultrasound expert and an orthopaedic guru, alongside proximity to referral clinics in Auckland, you’ll have everything you need to excel in your role, with the added bonus of providing a vital not-too-busy local after-hours service.
About The Vet Centre
We’re a fast-growing mixed practice, with close to 50 employees. We have recently changed from a vet club ownership model to an independent practice, with back-office support from Franklin Vets and all four owners working as veterinarians in the business.
