What Will You Do? | Ka aha koe?
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support the safe, compliant and effective management of Council facilities and reserves
- Coordinate contractor activity and monitor performance
- Assist with property improvement projects and asset management planning
- Audit, update and maintain leases, licences to occupy and encroachment agreements
- Manage enquiries from lessees and support maintenance coordination
- Help maintain accurate property registers, documentation and systems
- Support reserve management, parks, playgrounds and senior housing welfare
- Contribute to Annual Plan and Long-Term Plan processes
Who Are You? | Ko wai koe?
We are looking for someone with:
Essential:
- 3–5 years’ experience in office administration or project coordination
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication
- A customer‑focused approach and strong problem‑solving ability
- High emotional intelligence, professionalism and resilience
- Ability to work well in a fast‑paced team environment
- Full NZ driver licence and the right to live and work in New Zealand
Desirable:
- Experience in property or facility management
- Knowledge of local government processes and legislation
- Experience working with tenants
