Paralegal/Legal Assistant (Litigation and Real Estate Transactions)

Prairie Village, KS | Full-Time (In-Office)

A well-respected boutique law firm in Prairie Village is looking to add a Paralegal/Legal Assistant to their team.

You’ll support a collaborative group of attorneys handling a mix of litigation and transactional real estate matters. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and likes being a key part of a high-functioning team.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll support attorneys across a mix of litigation and real estate matters, including:

• Keeping files organized and up to date (both digital and physical)
• Managing deadlines, calendaring, and court filings (KS & MO)
• Drafting and proofreading legal documents
• Supporting discovery, trial prep, and general case flow
• Assisting with real estate contracts and closings
• Tracking time and supporting billing

What you’ll bring

• Law firm experience (litigation experience is preferred)
• Familiarity with Kansas and Missouri court rules and e-filing
• Experience managing deadlines and multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Experience with billing/timekeeping
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
• Experience with Clio (Grow/Manage) is a plus
• Real estate experience is helpful, but not required

The details

• Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (in-office)
• $23–$30+ per hour, depending on experience
• Health insurance, PTO, and free parking
• Solid work environment with a good pace and realistic expectations
