Summary

Facilitates HR strategies focused on talent management, workforce planning and employee engagement. This position acts as an advisor to Program Managers and leaders to provide HR guidance in recruitment, selection, retention and succession of employees, promoting a positive work environment, analyzing trends and metrics, and improving overall employee experience.

 

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Engage in strategic workforce planning through collaboration with PCI team members and hiring managers to implement and execute innovative and inclusive recruitment and retention strategies and succession planning. Lead the full-cycle recruitment process from candidate sourcing to offer generation.
  • Implement and maintain an Applicant Tracking System to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for candidates from sourcing through to onboarding.
  • Identify and assist in implementing training and development strategies that support PCI strategic goals and objectives.
  • Offer day-to-day performance management guidance with Managers (mentoring, coaching, employee development) and support Managers to effectively handle employee related issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with the PCI Director and program managers to ensure alignment of performance management activities with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees and leaders for inquiries related to HR matters based on established policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Develop and deliver employee onboarding and offboarding processes including initial employee training and oversight of exit interviews.
  • Provide guidance and act as a change management agent in support of organizational development strategies and initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as required


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field and 4 to 6 years of related progressive HR experience in a complex organizational setting, OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation required.
  • Solid background in employee life cycle, including recruitment and retention, training and development, employee relations / engagement.
  • Solid experience with HR Technology including an HRIS and ATS system.
  • Strong knowledge of current HR industry best practices, standards, and performance measures.
  • Equity informed and familiarity with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion best practices in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and commitment to working effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to manage complex workloads and work with simultaneous priorities and projects while maintaining effective collaborative processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Possession of and the ability to maintain a clear provincial Criminal Record Check.

ISSofBC Value Proposition

  • Expected Hiring Salary: $29.12-40.80 per hour.
    • Dependent on education, training, experience, and internal equity. Wage grids are reviewed annually. We are a proud and certified Living Wage BC Employer. Our current total compensation package continues to meet the requirements of living wages in BC to support our employees.
