Hit Parader Live is a new supper-club-style venue located in the heart of Nashville — where rock & roll attitude meets elevated hospitality. Inspired by the iconic Hit Parader Magazine and the legacy of music’s golden eras, our venue will host live performances, celebrity after-parties, private events, and unforgettable nights of food, drinks, and music.

Position Overview

At Hit Parader Live, we are looking for servers that bring exceptional energy and hospitality to every interaction! This role includes maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in all spaces and amazing guest service that anticipates needs. The perfect fit server must have organizational skills, ability to follow instructions, attention to detail, and ability to function very well when the space is packed with high energy and excited guests. We are a high volume space, so excellent teamwork is a must.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and accommodate guests in a timely and hospitable manner. Attempt to enhance guest’s experience with acts of service.
• Represent the Hit Parader Live brand in every interaction while providing exceptional hospitality and anticipating needs
• Handle high volume with a smile and ease while you multitask taking care of multiple tables
• Communicate with guests to help them navigate the menu and guide them to the items that would best suit their needs
• Find opportunities to upsell and give guests a chance to engage with different elements of the menu while also boosting sales
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety and quality of our food and beverage
• Assist in the execution of food and beverage delivery and expediting of tickets from outside expo and the bar
• Communicate effectively with other members of the team to ensure that orders are completed quickly and guests are satisfied 
• Issue bills and collect payments
• Share about upcoming events and opportunities for guests to enjoy and engage with Hit Parader Live performances
• Work with barbacks and dishwashers to maintain bar and dining equipment and utensils, as well as the work area, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
• Navigate different situations with proper judgement such as knowing when not to serve an intoxicated guest or problem solving a difficult guest interaction
• Continuously seek feedback and ways to improve our dishes, processes, and customer experience

Ideal Candidate

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be TABC Alcohol Certified
• 2+ years of serving in a high volume establishment
• Bartending experience is a plus
• Must have an extensive knowledge of cocktails and spirits
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-centered attitude
• Must be able to work in fast paced, high volume, space while maintaining quality service under pressure with a calm demeanor
• Must be able to stay organized and maintain clean spaces
• Preferred experience with Toast systems
• Must be able to work in a space with live music and manage service with louder decibel levels
• Able to move and lift up to 15 pounds and occasionally move and/or lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, navigate stairs and uneven surfaces in a dimly light environment
• Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
