What is the essence of the role?

As a Junior International Event Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, organization and execution of higher education events worldwide.

You will be responsible for logistics management - venue selection, catering, transportation and other. You will also be negotiating contracts with vendors, managing the event budget, coordinating with the stakeholders, and also play a key role in on-site management and post-event evaluation.

What will your job look like?

• Planning, organizing and executing international events in the field of higher education
• Leading negotiations and coordination with venues, catering companies and other vendors
• Managing the event budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring the event expenses stay within financial constraints
• Playing an active role in the on-site event management by overseeing operations, resolving issues in real time, and ensuring smooth execution during
• Ensuring the smooth coordination with other internal and external stakeholders for each dedicated event
• Taking active part in event debriefing meetings, gathering feedback and analyzing the results in order to suggest and implement improvements

N.B. The position may include extensive travel worldwide.

What do you need to be successful?

• A university degree, or in the process of obtaining one, in a relevant subject such as Event Management, International Relations or Foreign Languages
• At least 3 years of experience with event management or on a similar role
• Ability to react quickly and adequately in a dynamic environment, as well as adaptability to changes with positive attitude, innovative spirit, and open mind
• Capability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, coupled with working well with strict deadlines
• A citizen-of-the-world profile with impeccable verbal and written English
• Fluent Spanish and/or Russian and/or any other foreign language will be considered an advantage
