About the Role

We are looking for a practical, field-focused Safety Advisor to support our residential construction operations. You will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture across active sites, ensuring compliance with Alberta OHS legislation, and supporting our teams through inspections, training, and proactive risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and promote compliance with Alberta OHS legislation, company policies, and safe work practices
• Serve as the main safety point of contact for employees and contractors
• Perform site inspections and safety audits
• Investigate incidents and near misses and track corrective actions
• Deliver safety orientations and onboarding for staff and trades
• Coach and support site supervisors and trades on safe work practices
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and tracking metrics
• Support COR certification and ensure audit readiness
• Monitor trade compliance, PPE use, and housekeeping standards
• Lead safety meetings and address contractor non-compliance
• Compile safety summaries and trend insights for leadership

What You Bring

• NCSO designation preferred
• 3–5 years’ construction safety experience
• Residential construction experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of Alberta OHS and COR requirements
• Proven experience with inspections, investigations, and safety training
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and digital safety tools (e.g., SiteDocs)
