Advanced Practice Provider II – (Nurse Practitioner II or Physician Assistant II)

Overview

The Department of Medicine at Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University is seeking an outstanding Advanced Practice Provider II (Nurse Practitioner II or Physician Assistant II) to join the team. This person will deliver medical care to patients in an office/hospital setting and may be involved with the clinical rating of students/residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to patients in an office/ hospital setting.
• Collaborate with Nursing, office staff, administration in patient care.
• Collaborate with peers, and support staff.
• Participate in academic/clinical/research activates as needed.
• Participate in education evaluations and career development of students, residents, fellow, and staff.
• Participate in committees as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s Degree as an Advance Practice Provider - Nurse Practitioner or as an Advance Practice Provider - Physician Assistant
• Licensure: License or license eligible as an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) as set forth by the state of Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work in an academic/teaching setting.
