Join us in protecting Hong Kong’s marine treasures! WWF-HK invites passionate individuals to support the operation of the Hoi Ha Wan Centre and our guided eco-tours.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate the Centre reception and provide visitor services.
- Lead guided eco-tours and deliver nature interpretation activities.
- Assist in themed workshops promoting marine appreciation and conservation.
- Support daily centre operations, including administration, logistics, and visitor management.
- Provide accurate and engaging information on marine ecology, conservation, and local biodiversity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree / associate degree / higher diploma holder, or equivalent (biology or related disciplines preferred).
- Undergraduates majoring in biology or related disciplines are welcome (for part-time Centre Assistant).
- A valid First Aid Certificate (or equivalent recognised qualification) is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpretation skills.
- Good command of Cantonese, English, and Putonghua.
- Friendly and welcoming manner; physically fit for outdoor work.
- Knowledge of marine conservation, plants, and animals is preferred.
- Prior experience in guiding nature education activities, customer service, or reception duties is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Hoi Ha and Sai Kung tourist information is an advantage.
Employment Details
- Location: WWF Hoi Ha Wan Centre, Sai Kung.
- Contract Basis: Full-time and part-time positions available.
- Training: Comprehensive induction and ongoing training provided.
- Other: Transportation subsidies and staff uniforms provided; statutory MPF contributions and insurance included.
- Working days: 5 working days per week on a shift basis. Weekends and public holidays are required.
