Manager II

Overview

As a Manager - II, you will work closely with key product and engineering stakeholders to implement integrated environments for a wide range of complex products at RealPage across teams. Included management of team, business uses to technical impact analysis and driving to implementation of these use cases through Infrastructure, Configuration as code and Orchestration based automation across on-prem and Cloud Hybrid environments. 

Manager should manage, mentor, coach & deliver technical guidance and industry best practices to a group of Infra automation engineers responsible for products of the large and complex environment.  

This position will report to the IT Director in India and functionally will work with a Sr. Director in US.  

Responsibilities

• Overall 8 - 10 years’ experience in IT with strong technical exposure on automation (IAC, CAC & DevOps). 

• A passion for Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code, DevOps, Automation and running highly resilient/automated system for Hybrid environments. 

• Be able to work in USA late morning, early afternoon hours. 

• Mandatory knowledge in tool stacks: Azure DevOPs, Ansible, Terraform tools, Packer, Kubernetes 

• Have previous programming/development background (Python, Orchestration tools). 

• Compile KPIs and evangelize the adoption of best practices in relation to Integrated environment use cases across the organization. 

• Embed into Integrated Environment projects use cases and on-call rotations to keep your skills sharp and stay close to the operational workflows and issues. 

• Promote a healthy and functional work environment. 

• Maintain project and operational workload statistics. 

• Provide a solid foundation for building and maintaining successful Hybrid Infrastructure automation teams. 

• Utilize technical knowledge and experience with complex systems and performance to maintain and enhance the company’s platform.

• Manage system automation, upgrades, integration, automated provisioning process, rebuilds and other projects as required.  

• Implement process improvements and inform best practices in automation and operations. 

• Working with senior management to propose, agree, and deliver IT service with defined Service Level Agreements. 

• Establish systems monitoring capabilities to proactively address issues. 

• Establish application/systems patch management procedures. 

• Develop strategic goals and objectives for quality improvements.   

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

• Systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving and detail oriented. 

• Strong analytical and reasoning skills; must be effective at summarizing and communicating complex information. 

• Demonstrated professional maturity to handle confidential information. 

• Self-starter and able to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment. 

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with only general direction and minimal supervision. 

• Solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. 

Qualifications

• 8-10 Years with a minimum of architect experience. 

• At least 5+ years of work experience in Orchestration based automation for a team for Infrastructure and Configuration as Code. 

• Proven track record of designing, building, optimizing, and maintaining infrastructure on a large scale. 

• Preferred candidates with professional experience starting from a product developer role and transitioning to a Hybrid Infrastructure automation engineer. 

• A passion for Automation/DevOps and running highly resilient/automated systems. 

• 2+ Experience in On-prem to cloud Migration of products. 

• Strong understanding of SDLC, Linux and Windows environments. 

• Detailed understanding of DevOps Process & Tools (Azure DevOps, GITHUB, Packer, Azure Cloud, Artifactory etc). 

• Mandatory automation background (Terraform, Python, Powershell, Ansible, Linux/Windows desired state configuration). 

• Basic project management skills.  

• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
