About Praying Pelican Missions (PPM)
Praying Pelican Missions exists to build up, encourage, and assist the local Church in reaching and serving their communities for Christ. The Opportunity
The Ministry Operations leader will provide advanced leadership within Belize, supporting strategic direction and identifying new ministry opportunities and improved processes. This role is designed for a seasoned leader with expertise in recruiting, consulting, and trip leading who can manage the fiscal and operational complexities of the mission location.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Field Operations: Responsible for mission planning, logistics, fiscal accountability, and representation to key stakeholders.
- On-Site Team Leadership: Lead mission teams on-site, ensuring safety and security protocols are followed and coordinating activities with local partners for spiritual impact. This position requires leading 6-10 trips per year.
- Staff & Location Management: Manage location staff and volunteers, oversee local hiring and training, and negotiate key costs for food, lodging, and transportation.
- Recruiting & Consulting: Provide vision for day-to-day recruitment and consulting to equip Christians in their walk with Christ while meeting assigned team recruiting and renewal goals.
- Church Sponsorship & Partner Care:Β Maintain consistent communication with assigned partners, fulfilling program promises, and advocating for partner needs and emergency support.
- Spiritual Stewardship: Lead prayers and devotions, read scripture, and promote the Christian faith through active ministry leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of related work experience; 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.
- Skills: Proven management and leadership experience, strong relational skills, strong technology skills, and financial management expertise.
- Communication: Fluent spoken and written English required; conversational skill in the primary in-location language is strongly recommended.
- Travel: Ability to lead mission teams on-site, traveling up to 30% of the time, with a valid driverβs license.
