The Senior Reconciliation Officer will be responsible for overseeing reconciliation activities across multiple entities within the organization, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data and adherence to regulatory requirements. The role requires strong technical expertise in reconciliation processes and a solid understanding of FCA CASS regulations, particularly in relation to client money and asset protection.

What the job looks like?
The Senior Reconciliation Officer will have the opportunity to:
- Execute and oversee daily internal and external reconciliations for client, corporate, and operational accounts across several group entities.
- Apply in‑depth knowledge of FCA CASS 7 to ensure compliance with client money rules and segregation requirements.
- Monitor cash movements, bank balances, and transactional activity across multiple accounts and payment channels.
- Prepare, review, and validate reconciliation reports, ensuring timely escalation of discrepancies.
- Conduct investigations into reconciliation breaks and ensure appropriate documentation and resolution.
- Support CASS audits, CMAR submissions, and regulatory reviews.
- Maintain and enhance reconciliation controls, procedures, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Finance, Funding Operations, Compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective issue resolution.
- Contribute to system improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiency projects.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members as required.
What will you need to be able to do the job?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience working with FCA CASS regulations within a regulated financial services environment.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in reconciliation, client money operations, or financial control.
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
