About the School

The Leadership School is a new, innovative charter public school that opened Fall 2022. We serve students and families within the boundaries of the Normandy Schools Collaborative. The Leadership School exists to ensure that all children in our community grow their leadership capacity through earnest engagement in an academically rigorous, culturally relevant, and relationship-oriented environment. In addition to providing a strong foundation of relationships and belonging and the toolkit of academic skills, our students will have authentic opportunities to practice and exercise leadership—in one’s own life and the world around them. 

Responsibilities

We are seeking substitute teachers who are available between the hours of 7:30am - 4pm to support student learning and leadership in the absence of classroom teachers. The ideal candidate has high expectations for all students, believes in the mission and vision of The Leadership School and has experience working with young children. 

Qualifications

1. High expectations for every student, regardless of their background or abilities.
   
2. Experience working with young children.
3. Flexibility to adapt to changes quickly and efficiently. 
4. Reliable and Professional 

This is an on-call in-person, position, and you should expect to sub 2-5 days a week. Half day options available some days as well.
