This role is based in our Cape Town office. As Manager – Growth and Marketing Automation, you will report to the Chief Strategy Officer. From a high-level perspective, the core responsibilities that form your role are broken down into the following 8 categories:

Your Daily Tasks
Manager – Growth and Marketing Automation will build and operate our inbound marketing engine. This role combines hands-on marketing automation, digital execution, social management, analytics, and optimisation to support our global growth across the U.S., South Africa, LATAM, and Europe. This is a key operational role within our marketing function. You will develop the systems, content pathways, and workflows that drive lead generation, client engagement, and marketing efficiency
1. Strategy & Project Support:
- Support the CSO in managing and progressing marketing and business development initiatives.
- Help prioritise and structure workloads across multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to keep campaigns and deliverables on track.
- Maintain shared calendars, timelines, and campaign planning documentation.
2. Digital Execution & Social Media:
- Own the social content calendar and publishing schedule.
- Write short-form marketing copy aligned to Catalyst’s brand tone.
- Optimise social performance using analytics and A/B testing.
- Coordinate digital assets with the design and content teams.
- Contribute to website content (via CMS) to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
- Support with SEO-related tasks, including metadata updates, keyword tracking, and agency liaison.
- Support setup, execution, and monitoring of digital campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Configure and monitor tracking and reporting tools (Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, Search Console).
- Manage dashboards and summaries for internal reporting.
3. Content Development & Coordination:
- Draft and edit marketing content: social posts, email campaigns, web copy, brochures, thought leadership, and internal communications.
- Review and refine content for accuracy, tone, and brand alignment.
- Support client-facing teams with presentation decks, proposals, and pitch materials.
- Coordinate contributions from subject matter experts to deliver polished outputs
- Maintain and update content calendars to ensure campaign alignment.
- Liaise with design and compliance resources to finalise content for distribution.
4. Campaign Management
- Support digital campaigns, webinars, and events with automated journeys.
- Execute email marketing campaigns and nurture flows.
- Track performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.
5. Events & Activations:
- Assist in planning and delivering marketing-led events, sponsorships, and activations.
- Manage event logistics:
- Support pre-event activities (registrations, RSVP tracking, briefing packs).
- Manage on-site or virtual delivery (setup, signage, branded assets).
- Manage post-event follow-ups, communications, and performance reporting.
6. CRM & Marketing Automation Systems:
- Support implementation and management of the firm’s CRM and marketing automation systems.
- Partner with business development and operations teams on workflows, segmentation, and reporting needs.
- Assist with list management, email workflows, dashboards, and user guidance.
- Leverage prior CRM experience to support rollout, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Build and manage automation workflows, lead scoring, segmentation, and lifecycle programs.
- Maintain CRM data hygiene and manage integrations within HubSpot or Marketo.
- Create and optimise landing pages, forms, and tracking assets.
- Build and maintain dashboards for channel and campaign performance.
7. Risk and Compliance Responsibilities:
These responsibilities include the representation to the company’s Risk and Compliance perspective and include (but not limited to) the following tasks:
- Governance Framework – Adherence to the governance framework and ensure cohesiveness across all teams, offices, and service lines.
- Quality Control – Adhere to change controls and internal quality assurance
- Compliance Culture - Working in tandem with the groups Head of Compliance and Governance to instill a culture that is centered around good governance and compliance.
- Operational Controls - Driving and contributing to a culture of quality/excellence, through risk awareness and adherence to regulatory compliance standards and operational controls.
- Regulatory Adherence - Ensuring an effective risk-based approach is adopted to meet all regulatory compliance procedures per jurisdiction.

- Identify potential risks and challenges that could impact the achievement of strategic goals.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Provide strategic advice based on market insights to inform decision-making.
- Develop and manage budgets for strategic initiatives.
- Ensure capital adequacy and efficient allocation of resources.
Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related field
- 4–6 years in Marketing, with least 3 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing or marketing automation
- Hands-on experience with CRM/marketing platforms (Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, Marketo or similar - (admin-level experience preferred
- Strong writing skills (copy) and attention to detail.
- Experience managing social channels for B2B brands.
- Comfortable working with data, analytics tools, and performance reporting.
- Understanding of SEO fundamentals.
- Bonus: exposure to financial services, technology, SaaS, or professional services.
