Seasonal Maintenance - Streets

The City of Athens is seeking individuals who enjoy working outdoors to join our seasonal maintenance team at the street department. Duties include the following:

• Assisting in mowing operations and weed trimming
• Painting
• Asphalt repair
• Tree and brush maintenance
• Manual labor including lifting heavy materials & working in adverse weather conditions
• Other outdoor duties related to street maintenance
  

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by date of hire to apply. Applicants may be required to work weekends. This is a seasonal position expected to last about 120 days, and is covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act. The pay rate is $12.00 - $14.50 per hour depending on experience.
