About this role
Gladstone Psychiatry and Wellness is currently hiring therapists to join our Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) Program. Help us innovate in this emergent field, and provide deep care for your patients. Gladstone is leading the field with a safe and effective therapy envelope of Experiential Medicine with ketamine that is covered by commercial insurance (Advanced Screening, Medical Evaluation, Therapy Evaluation; up to 8 KAP dosing sessions, including preparation and integration, Booster Sessions as needed). Soon enough, we will also offer FDA-approved medications including psilocybin, MDMA, and LSD. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish rapport and develop a trusting therapeutic relationship with patients.
- Provide KAP therapy services to individuals, up to two 3-hour sessions/day.
- Participate in weekly KAP therapy team consultation meetings.
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary, differentiating between emergency and non-emergency tasks, and responding accordingly.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
- Assessment, evaluation, and treatment consistently reflects advanced competency in psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, and patient care.
- Assess Pt symptoms accurately in terms of compassionate and effective intervention.
- Place a priority on continuing education and advancing skills as standards of practice, theories, and treatment modalities as they evolve.
- Maintain an awareness of applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements as they relate to client documentation and patient care.
- Assume accountability for providing appropriate documentation of all therapy/counseling sessions, significant incident occurrences, phone conversations, etc., consistent with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Work effectively and participate actively with admin staff and multidisciplinary treatment team on a regular basis, including, ongoing collaboration of care with medication management providers.
Requirements:
Our ideal candidate has the following:
- One of the following:
- Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or associated field.
- LCSW-C, LCPC or LCMFT
- Licensed Clinical Psychologists (PhD or PsyD)
- Licensed and in good standing to practice counseling/therapy in Maryland.
- KAP Certificate training, and therapeutic experience working with psychedelic medicine(s).
- Collaborative, hard-working, companionable ethos
- An ethos to learn and grow.
- A board-approved supervisor is a plus.
