This is a Full Time position Monday – Friday  8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in an established and well-resourced kindergarten.   The kindergarten has a licensed roll of 40 tamariki and a 1:10 teacher to child ratio and is open to tamariki in the term breaks..

We are seeking a Kaiako who is versatile and a great communicator, interested in working in mixed-age group settings, is willing and proactive around change and who has a passion for working in multi-cultural communities.  You will have a good understanding of inclusive planning, assessment and internal evaluation practices.  As a valued team member  you will be welcomed into a team connected to the attending wider community and will enjoy working closely with whānau and supporting active children from diverse backgrounds.  We are committed to creating a home-away-from-home feel with a strong sense of belonging through whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga and through fostering tuakana-teina relationships.

The successful applicant must have sound knowledge of current approaches to teaching and learning, be committed to on-going professional development, and demonstrate strong and inclusive professional practices.  Applications are invited from teachers holding provisional or full certification.

Applicants require a minimum Level 7 Diploma or Bachelor of Teaching ECE, current first aid certificate and teacher practicing certificate.
