The successful candidate will ensure that the quality of products conform to established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company specifications.
Some Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Conduct analytical and microbiological tests on samples to ensure adherence to specifications established for raw materials, packaging materials, in‑process products, products on the packaging line, finished goods, and trade effluent samples.
- Ensure that all laboratory instruments and equipment are in good working order and makes minor repairs when necessary.
- Monitor the calibration of laboratory equipment and maintains accurate calibration logs.
- Verifies that the quality of the water used for production is acceptable, ensuring that microbiological standards are met.
- Assist in recommending product improvements or corrective actions to the production unit.
- Assist with conducting environmental audits and audits of manufacturing and packaging areas, equipment, and procedures.
- Assist with Quality related investigations and reports.
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry/Biochemistry) from an accredited institution.
- At least two (2) years working experience in a similar position or environment
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit
- Sound knowledge of general and laboratory safety requirements
- Training and experience in Microbiology and pharmaceutical testing
- Training and experience in Quality Control Systems and procedures
- Exhibits patience and pays strict attention to detail
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO standards
