Innovation Apprentice - MCAST
About this role
The Innovation Intern role targeted at engineering or product design students, to support the development of new packaging concepts and prototypes within our Innovation and NPD team.
The intern will work closely with our design and development teams to explore new materials, sustainable solutions, and creative packaging mechanisms, while gaining hands-on experience in 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and concept validation within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of innovative cosmetic packaging concepts.
- Support 3D printing, prototyping, and testing of functional packaging components.
- Research sustainable materials and new manufacturing techniques.
- Help document innovation ideas, prototype iterations, and test results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare presentations and innovation boards.
Technical Skills (beneficial but not required):
- 3D CAD using Autodesk Inventor
- 3D printing and model preparation (e.g., Bambu Studio, Cura)
- Basic mechanical or product design knowledge
- Familiarity with materials such as plastics, resins, and composites
