General Accident Insurance Company is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA) to join our team! The BIA will be responsible for supporting all areas of the organization in understanding and preparing data and reports for presentation or use. He/she will be responsible for responding to and completing ad-hoc queries and providing analytical support and decision-making information for financial and operational activities within the organization. The post holder will work with team members on all levels to support continuous improvement within the Business Intelligence unit through improvements to reporting processes. Additionally, the BIA should have a flair for deriving new sights and conclusions to help guide business decisions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
ο Derive new insights from data to guide strategic business decisions.
ο Utilize expertise in general insurance to enhance business intelligence tools and processes.
ο Maintain accuracy and reliability of all data reports and dashboards.
ο Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to provide actionable insights for the organization
οDesign and develop reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators in the claims department.
ο Analyze datasets mined from database and data warehouse.
ο Ensure data integrity by implementing quality assurance practices, identifying missing data, and resolving any anomalies with the assistance of the IT Department

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

ο Bachelorβs degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related analytical field
ο Experience in data analysis in insurance or financial services-related products.
ο Two (2) years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI
ο Experience in identifying data trends and formulating comparative analyses.
ο Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a similar capacity

ο Proven experience of workload planning and delivery of key targets within a service environment
ο Demonstrate a thorough understanding of general insurance principles and proficiency in reinsurance practices.
ο Ability to analyse and manipulate data to produce informative reports.
ο Possesses strong collaborative skills to effectively work in a team environment, coupled with the initiative to independently drive tasks.
ο Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning and mastering new skills.
ο Competency in Microsoft Office suite especially (Excel) at an advanced level
ο Great attention to detail, diligence, and results focused
