Role Overview:

The Bar Supervisor provides direction and leadership to all bar staff. Implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to retrospective staff. Takes orders, retrieves, and serves alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and light meals to guests, courteously and efficiently. Assists in the maintenance of the outlet(s) area and equipment. Creates an Exceptional Memorable Experience (EME) for each and every guest while interacting on a daily basis.

Main Key Responsibilities:

• Maintains complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Uses equipment only as intended.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organisation of assigned work and service areas at all times.
  Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menu items, beverages, liquor brands, and non-alcoholic selections.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of wines and champagnes, including characteristics and pairings.
  Ensure correct use of glassware, garnishes, and presentation standards for all beverages.
• Maintain knowledge of outlet operations, including table layouts, seating arrangements, menus, pricing, and dress code.
• Complete all opening side duties to ensure readiness for service.
• Inspect assigned stations and service areas, addressing any cleanliness or operational deficiencies.
• Greet guests promptly and professionally, taking food and beverage orders using suggestive selling techniques.
• Accurately input orders into the POS system and verify transmission to the bar or kitchen.
• Follow manual order procedures when systems are unavailable, ensuring clear communication with relevant team members.
• Retrieve and serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Provide beverage service, including opening and serving wine/champagne and preparing specialty drinks.
• Handle guest interactions professionally, including answering telephone calls in accordance with service standards.
• Present bills, process payments, and adhere strictly to cash handling and credit procedures.
• Complete closing duties, including clearing tables, reporting tips, finalising POS reports, and preparing the outlet for the next service.
