About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized Accounting Clerk to support day‑to‑day accounting operations. This role requires strong Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail, as accuracy is critical to financial records, invoicing, reconciliations, and payroll support. The successful candidate will assist with AP/AR, payment processing, payroll timesheets, and month‑end support while maintaining a high level of precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, data entry, and payment tracking.
  • Support bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Enter and maintain financial transactions in accounting software and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with payroll preparation, time sheet verification, and related documentation.
  • File, organize, and maintain financial records in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and summaries for review by senior staff.
  • Assist with budget tracking and monitoring of expenses against approved budgets.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to financial records and documentation.
  • Perform general administrative support duties related to finance and accounting functions.
  • Perform additional administrative, clerical, data review, and processing responsibilities as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Postsecondary Education in accounting, business administration, and/or experience in a related field.
  • 1 – 3 Years of accounting or administrative finance experience.
  • Proficient, advanced, and accurate data entry skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (required)
  • Ability to take initiative and be self-directed, adaptable, and innovative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including flexibility and the ability to work with others within a team environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organization skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and various accounting software (Xero or similar is an asset).
