Job Purpose Summary:
To assist in ensuring that the Accounts Department is functioning at an optimal level by providing support to internal/external customers with the overall goal being to ensure accuracy and profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform daily opening/closing cash counts review for the Accounts Clerks.
Review and post Accounts Clerks Daily Work (pack/batches).
Review/ensure that cash receipts, cash, cheques, credit card and debit card and ACH payments are being processed in a timely manner by the Accounts Clerks.
Assist customers with queries regarding payment related concerns via email, on the phone or in person.
Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues.
Notify customers of outstanding balances due.
Assist with monthly termination listing report.
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying and posting accounts receivable.
Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
- Review and reconcile night deposit slips with cash received daily.
- Prepare night deposit drop.

Any other responsibilities that may be assigned by Account Manager
- Provide cover as needed.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent from Four-year College; and/or Four or more years related experience and/or training in an accounting related role.
Job Skills and Abilities:
Analytical and organizational skills are beneficial, as well as having a co-operative manner with work tasks and taking direction.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
Team-oriented and results-driven individual, to facilitate productivity and continues improvement.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
Proficient in function of MS Office, experience in Great Plains and TAM beneficial but not essential.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, while remaining sensitive and discrete with confidential information.
