Data Engineer

We build responsive websites, mobile apps, interactive platforms, IoT, blockchain, web apps, CMS, eCommerce websites. Our experienced platform teams, specifically tailored to project needs, help our clients launch their product, site or campaign. We also offer expert advice and help with scaling their business. 

We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to join our Belgrade office but you can work in a hybrid workplace if you prefer.

Are you a master of the data world, passionate about connecting all the pieces of the data ecosystem within a company or a project and eager to build an interface between software and data engineering? 

Your Responsibilities:

• Database modeling for transactional and analytical applications
• Experience with various transactional and analytical database platforms
• Optimizing the performance of DB (indexing, manipulating memory, optimizing SQL queries…)
• Architecting data pipelines for various purposes
• Data intensive applications: Build optimal data systems and pipelines.
• Developing robust business intelligence stacks through different tasks such as Data acquisition/scraping, Data cleaning, Data exploration, Database modeling, Data transformation, Data visualization and reporting 

Your qualifications: 

• At least 2 years of relevant experience with SQL and relational databases. 
• You are detail-oriented with great analytical and strong technical skills
  
• Skilled and experienced in the above mentioned tasks
• Able and willing to work in a team of developers and project managers
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate well, proactively giving and receiving feedback, exchanging ideas with team members and clients to reach adequate solutions

Nice to have but not required: 

• Experience with dbt
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Data Vault 2.0, Azure data factory
• Knowledge of Python
• Visual analytics tools (Qlik and Tableau)
• Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or a comparable education
