The Job

Yodeck uses AWS for our whole infrastructure. Currently, we host 3 different environments; production, beta and testing. We use static hosts but also dynamically scale up and down our transcoding platform using the AWS API. Our architecture is designed (and actually is) scalable through simple and effective techniques.

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to take full ownership of our infrastructure. You will be automating standard processes, like deployment, monitoring, reporting, log aggregation and more. Together, we will be switching to containers for easier management of all environments, including local dev environments. You will be working in our office with the rest of team, located in downtown Athens, Greece.

Extensive and deep knowledge of Linux administration, networking, scripting, and utilizing containers is essential. Things you will be regularly doing include:

• Containerize all platform components.
• Automate deployment to all 3 environments; testing (ad-hoc releases), beta (2 weeks cycle) and production (6 weeks cycle).
• Secure systems for compliance with various standards (GDPR, ISO-27001, etc).
• Monitor performance on a daily basis, using monitoring tools, to ensure all production systems work flawlessly.
• Plan out and implement our expansion to other AWS regions, cloning our whole infrastructure.
• Manage annual reviews on disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
