Accountant - 6 Month Contract
About this role
Atomic Cartoons, a Blue Ant Studios Company, is looking for an Accountant. This position is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extending to a Full-Time, permanent position. The Accountant provides support to the Accounting team in various aspects, with an emphasis on accounts payable, government remittances and bank reconciliations. All employees in this role are required to work one (1) day a week at our Vancouver offices.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Process AP.
- Prepare Workers Comp and BC EHT remittances.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare GST/HST remittances.
- Prepare intercompany billback invoices.
- Assist with month-end working papers.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Post-secondary certificate, degree, training and/or experience in an accounting role.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency with Excel is required.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
- An excellent grasp of English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and become a strong contributing member of our team.
- Experience using NetSuite is an asset.
START DATE: ASAP
- All Atomic employees in this role will be required to work 1 day a week in our Vancouver Offices.
At Atomic Cartoons and Blue Ant Studios, we take into consideration a wide range of compensation factors including background, skills, location, and experience to determine competitive pay. In addition to competitive pay, this position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits including medical, GRSP, vacation pay, paid holiday break, paid leave, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Please note: This expected pay range is for British Columbia and is not applicable to locations outside of the province of British Columbia.
Wage ranges are based on a annual wage.
