Job Description
The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of guests using the swimming pool and/or beach facilities. This role involves monitoring activities, preventing accidents, and responding quickly and effectively to emergencies while maintaining a high level of guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor pool and/or beach areas to ensure guest safety at all times.
- Enforce safety rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner.
- Respond immediately to emergencies, providing rescue assistance and first aid/CPR when required.
- Conduct regular inspections of the pool, beach, and surrounding areas to identify and address potential hazards.
- Ensure lifesaving equipment is in good condition and readily available.
- Assist guests with inquiries and provide a welcoming and helpful presence.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of poolside/beach areas.
- Record and report any incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions.
- Support emergency procedures and evacuation drills when necessary.
- Coordinate with security and management in case of incidents.
Desired Skill & Expertise
- Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized organization.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.
- Good observation and quick decision-making abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and act efficiently in emergency situations.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
