Litigation Associate

Scale LLP is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience in general commercial litigation at a law firm to support our growing national litigation practice. This role is fully remote and candidates must be licensed to practice in the United States. 

The Opportunity
As a Litigation Associate, you will report to the head of the Litigation Practice Group. You will handle discovery, motion practice, research and writing, and attend court and deposition appearances primarily in support of Scale’s commercial and financial services litigation teams. Our national, distributed model allows Scale associates to practice law in a fully-remote setting. You will have the opportunity to work directly with both local and national clients and to be mentored by client-focused attorneys who have practiced in-house, in government, and in the AmLaw 100. Scale’s best-in-class practitioners share a desire to provide practical, valuable, and timely service to their clients, and we expect the same from our associates.

Compensation and Billable Hour expectations
Scale operates on a non-traditional business model; while this position comes with a full-time engagement expectation, we are a fully remote firm with no offices. Associates take home a base salary, and are eligible for production bonuses starting at 1,250 billed hours annually. Associates are also eligible for origination payouts on matters that they bring to the firm. The firm also contributes to health insurance premiums for plans elected through Scale.

Requirements
All applicants must have at least 3-5 years of experience working with litigation clients at a law firm.
