About this role

About the Role:

As a Loan Specialist, you’ll be the first point of contact for Veterans and Active Duty Service Members navigating the VA loan process. You’ll work closely with Loan Officers, educating borrowers on the process, gathering documentation, and guiding them toward homeownership.

This role is also a launchpad into a future Loan Officer career for those who are ambitious, energetic, and motivated. Many of our successful Loan Officers began as Loan Specialists, and we’ll set you up with a strong foundation while providing a guaranteed salary and the chance to learn the business. If you’re driven, customer-focused, and eager to grow, this could be the perfect fit.

What You’ll Do:

  • Interview borrowers, obtain and verify documentation, and educate them on the loan process and product/service options.

  • Process borrower credit information through online approval systems and analyze for pre-approval or denial.

  • Make initial contact and respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email.

  • Inform borrowers of future loan documentation requests, including income and asset details.

  • Remain knowledgeable on company and industry guidelines and processes.

  • Provide exemplary customer service and support throughout the loan journey.

  • Actively contribute to building a strong, collaborative team culture.

What We’re Looking For:

We want someone who is:

  • Ambitious, energetic, and internally motivated.

  • Outgoing, friendly, and customer-focused.

  • A strong communicator (verbal and written).

  • Driven to succeed in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

  • Comfortable with PCs and basic computer technologies.

  • Dedicated to delivering results with integrity while enhancing lives every day.

Preferred but not required: Previous mortgage experience.

Bonus points: If you’re a Veteran, we’d love to hear from you.

Licensing & Growth Opportunities:

  • You don’t need to be licensed before applying, but you must be licensed prior to starting.

  • We reimburse licensing costs after 6 months of employment.

  • This role is designed to prepare you for future opportunities to transition into a Loan Officer position.
