In this role, you will be responsible for advancing our innovation strategy by developing new products, enhancing existing offerings, and exploring opportunities in emerging markets and technologies. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design and development of new products, component engineering, specifications, design analysis and validation, legacy product modifications, model and print creation, prototypes and mock-ups, validation testing, and competitive analysis.
  • Translates customer needs into mechanical designs which meet cost and quality goals.
  • Performs detailed design, design testing, prototype fabrication, and prepares verification test protocols and reports.
  • May perform technical research, feasibility studies, and testing of new and modified designs in areas such as materials, measurement, fluidics, and electronics.
  • Generates creative, innovative solutions which may lead to patentable ideas and products.
  • Interfaces with customers, suppliers, sales, and customer support, and works on a national, regional or global basis.
  • Transfers knowledge/ technology solutions within or across groups.
  • Integrate AI into business processes to improve efficiency and create innovative products.
  • Ability to lead project with little supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
  • 3-5 Year of Experience in new product development and support
  • Demonstrated ability to lead electromechanical designs displaying creativity, innovation, and leadership.
  • Basic understanding of electronics, PCBA, and enclosure design.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver mechanical designs displaying creativity and innovation
  • Experience with mechanical analysis (FEA/CFD)
  • Familiarity with computer programming (C++/Python)
  • Knowledge of materials and metal processes (i.e. machining, casting, brazing, soldering, fastening, assembly, fabrication)
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks
