About this role
Overview
As a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer at RoviSys, you will work on exciting software projects, design and code custom software for clients wishing to automate sharing of information between process controls and higher-level systems, or to organize and report information for use in making business decision. You will work in a collaborative environment to solve complex client challenges with intelligent, talented and dedicated teammates.

Responsibilities
- Support digital transformation projects for end clients
- Plan, design, and contribute to digital transformation projects
- Execute MES/Historian system upgrades, system support, and routine maintenance
- Understand and adhere to project execution methodology
- Assist in developing technical workflow, standard operating procedures, and documentation
- Develop and build solutions using different industrial applications
- Be involved and participate in industrial application training by RoviSys solution architects
- Onsite System Startup (20-50%) Install project software and configuration onto site systems
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills for presentation to clients/management team where necessary
- Ability and desire to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Professional level English (C1, C2, or Native)
- 2 Years of experience in programming languages such as C#, Python or C++
- Engineering Degree (MBO, HBO, MS, or BS)
- Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer or Engineering Technology or related degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry level Dutch (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, or Native)
- Software degree or certification
- Familiarity with Excel Macros (VBA)
- Knowledge of data interfaces and databases (SQL, OPC, MQTT, ETHERNET/IP)
- Experience with one or more of the following platforms:
- Critical Manufacturing MES
- TrakSYS by Parsec
- Inductive Automation Ignition / Sepasoft
- OSIsoft PI
