Overview
The Medical Assistant performs patient-oriented procedures under the supervision of a RN, LPN, and/or physician.
Responsibilities:
- Direct patient to proper exam/treatment room, prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Take vital signs and document patient reasons for appointment
- Assist physician with procedures as directed
- Instruct patients in all appropriate procedures
- Maintain, clean, and sterilize medical equipment as directed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current phlebotomy and CPR certifications are required
- 7 – 11 months related experience and/or training
