Arbor Place, Inc. is seeking a passionate and community-minded Prevention Coordinator to support prevention programming focused on youth, families, schools, and the broader community throughout Western Wisconsin.
This position works closely with the Prevention Department to support a variety of prevention initiatives, outreach efforts, evidence-based programming, youth engagement activities, family support programming, and grant-related projects. This is a dynamic role with a wide range of responsibilities, and the person hired may take the lead on some areas while serving as support or backup in others depending on organizational needs, experience, and department priorities.

Position Details

- Reports to: Manager of Prevention
- Some evening and occasional weekend hours required
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting youth councils and school-based prevention programming
- Facilitating evidence-based prevention curriculum and educational groups
- Assisting with family-focused programming and community outreach
- Supporting after-school prevention initiatives and youth leadership development
- Participating in outreach events, and prevention campaigns
- Creating educational and digital outreach content
- Collaborating with schools, agencies, and community partners
- Assisting with departmental projects and prevention initiatives as needed
This role is intentionally broad to allow flexibility within the Prevention Department and support the evolving needs of the community and organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Public Health, Behavioral Health, Alcohol & Other Drug Studies, Human Services, or related field
- Experience working with youth, families, schools, or community programming preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Comfortable with public speaking and group facilitation
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to pass caregiver background check and pre-employment drug screening
