As our Program Medication Nurse, you will provide nursing care to students, perform health assessments and participate in nursing diagnosis, planning, and
monitoring in collaboration with the Nurse Practitioner and physician. We are looking for rotating schedules: days 6:45 am -2:45 pm, evenings 1:00pm-9:00pm and weekends, or straight evenings. Enjoy being off on school breaks!
Our Program Medication Nurse:
Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with educational, residential and clinical staff to ensure the healthcare needs of each student are appropriately managed.
Provides direction, training and monitoring of designated residential staff in the administration of medications.
Serves as liaison in communicating and interacting with students, their families and others to assist with the coordination of healthcare for individual students.
Adheres to health services policies and procedures in accordance with applicable regulatory agencies; ensuring quality of services meets appropriate nursing standards of care.
Participates in professional growth and development through participation in continuing education programs.
Medication order Review
Overseas medication administration
Assistance with Electronic Medication Administration
Medication administration for evening shift
Support with triaging health related considerations
Part of the student emergency response team
Liaison between cottages and program nurses
Performs other related duties and task as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university
Valid registered nursing license required with two years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience;
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
The following shared salary range is what Perkins reasonably expects, in good faith, to pay for the position. The applicable range could differ based on experience and qualification.
$66,800.00-$94,325.00
