Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Oncology Registered Nurse (RN), you will help cancer patients and their families receive exceptional, compassionate, patient-centered care so they can achieve positive cancer treatment outcomes and navigate their journey with support.

 

Everyday you will provide specialized oncology nursing care. You will be expected to maximize patient satisfaction, empower patients and families, and advocate for their needs.

 

To be successful in this role, you must possess robust oncology clinical knowledge, technological proficiency, genuine compassion, strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Daily, you'll conduct comprehensive oncology patient assessments, perform critical risk evaluations, provide essential cancer prevention education, and expertly coordinate complex cancer care plans.
  • Your responsibilities include patient/family orientation, continuous care plan adaptation based on growth and developmental needs, and leveraging technology for stream-lined processes, ensuring optimal patient support and understanding.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • One (1) year of experience in the area of specialty. Please note: We are currently unable to train RNs without a minimum of six (6) months of acute care experience; new graduates are not eligible.
  • Current California RN License 
  • AHA-BLS (American Heart Association - Basic Life Support
