Rope Access Journeyperson Insulator

Position Summary

Tacten is seeking a Rope Access Journeyperson Insulator to support our client site CNRL Horizon in Fort McMurray, AB! 

As a Rope Access Insulator, you will be a key member of our team responsible for executing high-altitude tasks with precision, efficiency, and safety. Project Details:

• Site: CNRL Horizon
• Shift/Rotation: Long-Term Maintenance Work - 14/14 Rotation, 11.5 hour shifts
• Camp Accommodations & FIFO provided from Alberta hubs (Calgary or Edmonton)

Responsibilities

• Install insulation materials, such as foam, fiberglass, or mineral wool, to prevent heat transfer, reduce energy consumption, or control sound.
• Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas.
• Secure insulation in place using appropriate fasteners and adhesives.
• Regularly inspect insulation for signs of wear, damage, or degradation.
• Replace or repair insulation that has become compromised.
• Recommend and implement improvements or upgrades to enhance insulation performance.
• Consult with clients or project managers to determine insulation needs based on factors like temperature requirements, acoustic considerations, or electrical insulation needs.
• Provide recommendations on the most suitable insulation materials and techniques for different environments.
• Collaborate with construction or maintenance teams to ensure proper installation according to specifications.

Requirements

• Journeyman Insulator or equivalent hours required
• IRATA Level 1 required, or willingness to obtain. Ability to hire those with IRATA Level 2 and 3 as well.Safety Certifications:
• CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO
