Salary/Hourly Rate: $18-$20/hour Â

What You’ll Do:
Your Impact:
As the Seasonal Cook, you’ll connect farm guests to the land by working alongside the Appleton Culinary Team. Utilizing our own organic produce and regionally grown grain, you will assist with seasonal production of menu items for our on-site Farm Store ranging from, but not limited to, vegetable prep, fillings, soups, bagels, cookies, and granola. Some by hand bread dough/bagel shaping is possible as well!Â
Specifically, you’ll:
- Follow recipes to standardÂ
- Cook, bake and safely package prepared foodsÂ
- Assist with food and bakery preparation as neededÂ
- Assist with large scale event day preparation and operationsÂ
- Multitask and work quickly under pressureÂ
- Uphold Standard Operating Procedures for the commercial kitchenÂ
- Maintain high standards of sanitation, food safety and a clean and safe work environmentÂ
- Support the Culinary Team as neededÂ
This is a limited-term, non-exempt position (18-24 hours/week) reporting directly to Culinary Program and Food Service Manager.   Â
What You’ll Need:
Skills and Experience:
- Background in food preparation and/or bakingÂ
- Excellent interpersonal communication skillsÂ
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a teamÂ
- Enthusiasm for tackling a prep listÂ
- Possess a strong appreciation for working with local farms and feeding the communityÂ
- Ability to manage multiple projects at onceÂ

Eligibility Criteria:
- Current authorization to work in the United States – a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment. Â
- A satisfactory criminal background (CORI) check.Â
