 Salary Range: $190,000 - $230,000
As a Senior M/E/P Estimator, you will be responsible for estimating the most complex and large-scale jobs, including conceptual estimates, negotiated bids, budgets, general conditions, systems studies and comparisons, value engineering, and subcontractor relations for the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (M/E/P) portion of major projects.Â

Responsibilities / Essential FunctionsÂ
- Ensure that the estimating process runs smoothly and efficiently, exceeding client expectations throughout the duration of the project(s).Â
- Build strong relationships with clients, designers, and subcontractors to understand their needs and expectations.Â
- Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates.Â
- Facilitate effective collaboration among team members.Â
- Communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders.Â
- Participate in business development activities, including presentations and interviews.Â
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and apply unit pricing for materials and labor to develop project values.Â
- Understand the full project scope through document reviews and by engaging with the design team and owner.Â
- Prepare value engineering assessments and conduct risk analyses.Â
- Draft qualifications and assumptions that accompany estimates.Â
- Reconcile current estimates with prior estimates and prepare cost comparisons.Â
- Manage the subcontractor solicitation and selection process.Â
- Prepare Exhibit B and/or scope sheets.Â
- Ensure quality control across all bids and estimates.Â
- Develop detailed in-house budgets and Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposals.Â

Required Experience Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related fieldÂ
- 8+ years of experience in Estimating or equivalentÂ
- 5+ years of experience specifically as a Commercial Construction EstimatorÂ
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelÂ
- Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Timberline or similar)Â
- Solid understanding of how market conditions influence pricingÂ
