About this role
Description
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-growing team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file tax returns and documentation, including transfer pricing reports with outsourced consultants
- Analyze tax implications of cross-border operations and advise management on tax-efficient structures
- Liaise with external tax advisors and authorities on international tax matters
- Assist in audits, both internal and external, related to tax issues
- Monitor and interpret new international tax legislation, assessing its impact on the company
- Support the development and implementation of tax policies and controls
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for tax audits and statutory compliance purposes
- Provide support in financial reporting related to taxes under IFRS
- Assist in special projects related to mergers, acquisitions, and international expansion
- Participate in the preparation and review of consolidated tax reports and financial statements for group entities
- Ensure intercompany transactions are accurately documented and reflected in consolidated reports
- Coordinate with finance teams in other jurisdictions to ensure timely and accurate tax consolidation and reporting
- Review and provide tax-related input on company sales and acquisition contracts to identify risks, ensure compliance, and optimize tax outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or ACCA is an advantage)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in tax
- Excellent knowledge of Armenian, English and Russian
- Strong knowledge of Corporate, Income, VAT Tax regulations, IFRS related to tax reporting
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in managing and interpreting large volumes of financial data
- Time management and the ability to meet deadlines
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Understanding of consolidated accounting and reporting processes
- Ability to interpret and provide guidance on complex tax aspects of business contracts
