We are looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to support the delivery, operations, and performance of our social channels. Reporting into the Social Lead, this role will play a critical part in ensuring our social activity runs efficiently, scales effectively, and delivers measurable results.Â
This role will focus on enabling the wider social team to execute at pace, owning workflows, reporting, platform relationships, and channel operations across Debenhams, Coast and Burton.
This role will be based out of our central Manchester office.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
The primary focus of this role is to manage the operational delivery, platform management, and systems that underpin our social media activity.Â
You will ensure our social channels are running efficiently, aligned to business priorities, and delivering against KPIs across engagement, traffic, and revenue.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Channel Operations & PlanningÂ
- Support the Social Lead in the delivery of social plans across all channelsÂ
- Ensure all day-to-day social activity is planned and delivered effectively, including trade requests, key business priorities, and reactive momentsÂ
- Maintain a clear view of upcoming activity, ensuring key dates, cultural moments, and opportunities are not missedÂ
- Ensure social is effectively integrated into key brand moments such as campaigns and launchesÂ
- Oversee content calendars to ensure smooth delivery and operational efficiencyÂ
- Work closely with the Junior Social Content Manager to ensure plans are executed effectivelyÂ

Paid, Organic & Performance SupportÂ
- Work closely with Paid Social team to ensure alignment between organic and paid strategiesÂ
- Identify opportunities to amplify high-performing organic content through paid mediaÂ
- Provide performance insights to inform future planning and investment decisionsÂ
Â
Platform Partnerships & InnovationÂ
- Build and maintain relationships with platform partners (not limited to Pinterest, Meta, TikTok, YouTube)Â
- Stay up to date with platform developments, features, and opportunitiesÂ
- Support forward planning of platform activity, including betas, launches, and innovation opportunitiesÂ
- Help position Debenhams as a strong partner for testing and new featuresÂ

Reporting & OperationsÂ
- Own reporting cadence, dashboards, and performance tracking frameworksÂ
- Ensure consistency in measurement and governance across all social activityÂ
- Deliver regular reporting across performance, campaigns, and competitor activityÂ
- Identify inefficiencies and continuously improve workflows, planning, and processesÂ
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Your Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Previous experience in a social media, digital, or marketing operations roleÂ
- Strong understanding of social platforms from a performance and operational perspectiveÂ
- Experience working with reporting, data, and performance metricsÂ
- Highly organised with strong attention to detailÂ
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skillsÂ
- Experience working with platform partners or agencies is a plusÂ
