Job Description

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with strong backend experience in .NET Core and frontend experience in React to build andĀ maintainĀ scalable services and APIs. The role focuses on backend service development, API implementation, testing, and collaboration with frontend teams, while using modernĀ AI‑assistedĀ development tools to improve productivity and code quality.Ā 

In this role as a Software Engineer I, you will:Ā 

  • Design, develop, andĀ maintainĀ backend services and RESTful APIs using .NET Core/.NET 5+.Ā 
  • Implement and consume APIs that support React-based frontend applications.Ā 
  • Write andĀ maintainĀ unit and integration tests for backend and frontend components.Ā 
  • Work with existing SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases by querying and consuming data.Ā 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.Ā 
  • Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives.Ā 
  • Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate development and improve code quality.Ā 

For this role as a Software Engineer I, you should have:Ā Ā 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer ScienceĀ or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Ā 
  • 3+ years of experience developing backend applications using .NET Core or .NET 5+.Ā 
  • 2+ years of experience building frontend applications with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.Ā 
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.Ā 
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server or PostgreSQL.Ā 
  • Experience writing unit tests and familiarity with common testing frameworks.Ā 
  • ProficiencyĀ with Git and standard version control workflows.Ā 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern developer productivity workflows.Ā 
  • Exposure toĀ microservices or service-oriented architecture.Ā 
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized development (Docker).Ā 
  • Cloud experience with AWS or similar platforms.Ā 
  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts (OAuth, JWT, RBAC).Ā 
  • Experience withĀ GraphQL, message queues, or event-driven systems is a plus.Ā 
  • Prior experience or domain knowledge in K–12 education, Student Information Systems, or EdTech is preferred.Ā

The below compensation range is based on national market data and may vary by experience and location.Ā 

Salary Range
$68,000$93,500 USD
