About the Role

MRI Software is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team working on innovative product development. As a Software Engineer III, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). You will leverage your technical expertise to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions while mentoring team members and contributing to technical decision-making. We are looking for a collaborative team player who is passionate about technology, continuous improvement, and delivering business value.

Roles & Responsibilities

* Develop software features independently while maintaining high technical and quality standards.
* Understand system architecture, business requirements, and technical objectives of the product.
* Contribute to solution design and technical discussions to ensure scalable and maintainable software architecture.
* Follow established development processes including source control, branching strategies, testing, and deployment practices.
* Troubleshoot complex application issues and support critical production investigations when required.
* Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
* Collaborate with team members through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing activities.
* Mentor and support junior engineers by providing technical guidance and best practices.
* Contribute to technical documentation, coding standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, QA, DevOps, and Support teams.
* Continuously improve development practices, application performance, security, and code quality.

Required Skills

* 5+years of experience in developing browser-based applications using .NET Core and Entity Framework Core.
* Hands-on experience with .NET 6/7/8 and above.
* Strong proficiency in C# and modern .NET development practices.
* Experience developing RESTful web services using ASP.NET Core Web API.
* Experience building modern web applications using Microsoft Blazor (Server and/or WebAssembly).
* Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles.
* Experience with Entity Framework Core and database-driven application development.
* Strong SQL skills, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server.
* Understanding of architectural patterns such as MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design principles.
* Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including Single Sign-On (SSO).
* Familiarity with source control systems such as Git/GitHub.
* Experience with application performance optimization, troubleshooting, and debugging complex systems.
* Understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and software quality practices.
* Experience working in Agile development environments.
* Awareness of AI capabilities and ability to use AI tools such as Github CoPilot, ChatGPT, or Azure AI to improve engineering output.(Code suggestions, improvements, generate unit test cases, documentation, optimize logic, code review. Learn new frameworks)
