DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Sr. Manager, Process Engineering. This Hybrid position will be located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL (USA). Alternate hybrid locations may be considered in Diegem, Belgium OR Zuchwil, Switzerland.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. Job OverviewÂ
The Sr. Manager, Process Engineering provides strategic and technical leadership for manufacturing and process engineering activities supporting DePuy Synthes operations. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining robust manufacturing processes that ensure quality, efficiency, and scalability. The position plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement, enabling new product introductions, and supporting business growth within a regulated medical device environment.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Lead and develop a team of process engineers responsible for manufacturing process design, optimization, and sustainment.Â
Establish and execute process engineering strategies aligned with business, quality, and operational objectives.Â
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity.Â
Partner crossâfunctionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and Operations to support production performance and new product introductions.Â
Provide technical oversight for process validations, equipment qualifications, and change management activities.Â
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable regulatory, quality system, and company requirements.Â
Analyze process performance data to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.Â
Support capital projects, automation initiatives, and technology upgrades to improve operational capability.Â
QualificationsÂ
EducationÂ
Bachelorâs degree required in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, or related discipline)Â
Masterâs degree preferredÂ
Experience and SkillsÂ
Required:Â
Minimum of 8Â years of progressive experience in process engineering or manufacturing engineeringÂ
Prior people leadership experience managing and developing engineering teamsÂ
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process validation, and continuous improvement methodologiesÂ
Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environmentÂ
Proven ability to lead crossâfunctional initiatives and influence stakeholdersÂ
Strong analytical, problemâsolving, and decisionâmaking skillsÂ
Effective communication skills with the ability to engage technical and nonâtechnical audiencesÂ
Preferred:Â
Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences manufacturingÂ
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured improvement methodologiesÂ
Experience supporting new product introductions and scaleâup activitiesÂ
Knowledge of automation, equipment integration, and advanced manufacturing technologiesÂ
Experience leading capital projects or largeâscale process improvementsÂ
