Job Description
Sobi is seeking strategic, culture-enabling and collaborative leader to serve as theâŻExecutive Director, National Field DirectorâŻwithin the Immunology Franchise, leading theâŻU.S. field organization for two uncontrolled, severe gout therapiesâone potentially launching inâŻ2026âŻ(pending FDA approval) and another inâŻ2028 (pending NDA submission and FDA approval). This leader will set the vision, culture, and direction for a team of Area Business Directors,âŻRegional Business Directors, Clinical Account Managers, Strategic Account Directors, and Infusion Education support rolesâŻacross the United States.Â
Reporting to theâŻHead of U.S. Immunology and Global Gout Franchise, this role will be pivotal in shaping and executing the commercial field strategy for both launches, ensuring sustained success across the gout portfolio, and realization of each assetâs performance goals.Â
This role is flexible on location. Travel to the Waltham, MA office is expected, in addition to field related travel. Total travel time up to 60%.âŻâŻÂ
Essential Responsibilities/Scope of the Job:âŻIncluding, but not limited to, the following:Â
Strategic leadershipÂ
- Define each brandâs ambition, overarching strategy, and go-to-market plan with other gout leadership â ensuring alignment, synergy, and performance across both assetsÂ
- Achieve or exceed performance goals across both gout assetsÂ
- Oversee budgets and resource allocation across all field activitiesÂ
- Actively contribute to the broader Immunology Leadership teamÂ
Team building and leadershipÂ
- Attract, build, develop, and lead a high-performing, multi-functional field team capable of managing a complex, multi-product rare disease portfolio across the U.S.Â
- Deliver a high-impact colleague experience through consistent onboarding, tailored launch training, and early cross-functional connectionÂ
- Drive a culture of Rare Strength: Partnership, Agility, Accountability and ImpactÂ
- Ensure a culture where actions align with Sobiâs compliance expectationsÂ
- Lead continuous improvement in sales force effectiveness and account management capabilitiesÂ
Cross-Functional CollaborationÂ
- Partner withâŻcross-functional teams (e.g., medical affairs, marketing, market access, patient services, commercial operations) to ensure high impact execution Â
- Foster an integrated âecosystemâ approach across commercial, medical, and market access field teams to ensure seamless customer experiencesÂ
- Drive excellence inâŻcustomer experienceâŻ(seamless, human, dependable) across prescribers, infusion centers, and patient support touchpointsÂ
Strategic Market EngagementÂ
- Represent Sobi externally as a trusted leader in gout and rare disease managementÂ
- Build strong relationships withâŻKey Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and accounts (practice, IDN, infusion clinics, strategic accounts)Â
- Monitor stakeholder sentiment, market trends, business performance, and competitor activity to inform operational adjustments and strategic decisionsÂ
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred
- 15+ yearsâ experience in pharmaceutical sales or related experience Â
- 8+ years of prior Sales Management experience, including second line managementÂ
- Proven success launchingâŻmultiple therapies, ideally inâŻrare or severe diseaseâŻsettings, including experience designing and implementing innovative commercial modelsÂ
- Track record of delivering on revenue goals and thinking strategically on broad levers to drive the businessÂ
- Experience with buy and bill therapies (medical benefits) across multiple sites of care (community practice, infusion centers and IDNs)Â
- Excellent communication skills, including presentation skillsÂ
- Ability to identify strategies with the greatest business impact, formulate an appropriate business plan, and enroll and motivate their teams to execute the planÂ
- Exhibited ability to manage multiple, concurrent work-streams in diverse functional areasÂ
- Successful experience working in a cross-functional, team selling/education environmentÂ
- Experience in and understanding of the rheumatology space is preferred (not required)Â

The base salary range for this role is $275-340,000 annually. Each individual offer will be determined based on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, and location. Additionally, this role is eligible for both short-term and long-term bonuses, as outlined in the plan details.
