About this role
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on time.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting as needed.
Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Assist with audits, tax filings, and special projects.
Analyze financial data and identify trends or issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2–4 years of accounting experience preferred.
Knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and communication abilities.
Preferred:
Experience with ERP systems such as Great Plains, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
Hybrid Work Schedule: This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with a mix of in-office and remote work days based on business needs.
