The Staff Enterprise Architect leads the architecture, build, and operation of High-Performance Computing (HPC) platforms on AWS Cloud, driving deployment efficiency, platform reliability, and AI-enabled optimization.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, build and run HPC platforms on AWS Cloud.
- Engineer and maintain software configuration, deployment, and automation processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve recurring platform issues with scalable, long-term solutions
- Drive continuous improvement in platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency
- Use AI/ML-driven approaches to optimize infrastructure utilization, workload performance, and operations
- Collaborate with engineering, cloud, and operations teams to deliver robust HPC solutions
- Deliver architecture roadmaps and projects to fulfill product rollout needs and business driven outcomes
- Contribute to long term architecture and implementation of GE Vernova Compute strategy.
- Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction.
- Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
- Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
- Coach and mentor team members.
Education Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience6years
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, or systems architecture
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud environments - (EC2, EFS, S3, Networking)
- Strong background in Linux administration, automation, and software deployment
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and configuration management
- Knowledge of HPC schedulers, storage, and networking
- Proven ability to identify root causes and solve systemic technical issues
- Familiarity with applying AI/ML techniques for optimization and operational improvement
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Leadership:
• Demonstrated working knowledge of internal organization
• Foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources, rally teammates.
• Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.
• Demonstrated Change Management /Acceleration capabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels
• Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
• Ability to influence and build consensus with other Information Technology (IT) teams and leadership
