About this role
Starting Pig Specialist will work with farm staff during the nursery stage of production in wean to finish production sites.
Responsibilities & Duties:
ļ§ Train & assist farm staff during the nursery stage of production:
o Preplacement site inspections
o Initial stocking plans
o Sorting & Treating
o Mat & Gruel Feeding
ļ§ Ability to troubleshoot & adjust heating & ventilation systems.
ļ§ Assessing health issues and the ability to perform on farm diagnostics
Requirements:
ļ§ Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
ļ§ Excellent organizational & time management skills.
ļ§ Prior swine management experience.
ļ§ Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
ļ§ Travel ā across Iowa with possible overnight stays
