We are seeking a highly qualified School Counselor who is dedicated to fostering the social, emotional, and academic development of every student!Ā At ACCEL Schools, weĀ leverageĀ a cutting-edge 21st-century support framework, delivering comprehensive counseling services through innovative online platforms and traditional outreach methods to ensure no student navigates their journey alone.Ā
The School Counselor supports overall student success by partnering with staff members and families to inform student specific academic programming, create andĀ maintainĀ graduation and career plans, and provide proactive and preventative services.Ā
Eligibility: Open to residents of Idaho
About the OpportunityĀ
- Deliver proactive guidance curriculum to individuals and groupsĀ
- Respond to individual and group needs with responsive counseling and programmingĀ
- Review transfer student transcripts and informĀ appropriate courseĀ placementsĀ
- Maintain and review transcripts for active students and inform credit award proceduresĀ
- Create andĀ maintainĀ student graduation plansĀ
- Provide career readiness curriculum andĀ facilitateĀ creation of career plansĀ
- Deliver Social-Emotional Learning curriculumĀ
- Create andĀ maintainĀ Student 504 plansĀ
- Analyze student data to provide input onĀ appropriate academicĀ programs and interventionsĀ
- Travels to support testing efforts and school events within the state as neededĀ
- Other duties as assignedĀ
About YouĀ
- Valid Idaho Counselor license Ā
- Bachelorās degree plus one (1) yearĀ previousĀ experience in counseling and/or advisement OR equivalent combination of education and experienceĀ Ā
- Experience with the ASCA modelĀ Ā
- Experience with K-12 online learningĀ Ā
- Experience with Local, State, and Federal laws and mandated reportingĀ Ā
- ProficiencyĀ in Microsoft Office and Google Suite ProductsĀ
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly andĀ exhibitĀ sound judgment whileĀ maintainingĀ that confidentialityĀ
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional situations and make evidence-based decisionsĀ
- Excellent written and oral communication skillsĀ
- Ability to work well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to meet deadlines consistentlyĀ
- Customer service orientedĀ
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a teamĀ
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checksĀ
