Role Scope:Ā
We are looking for a dynamic, service-oriented ActivitiesĀ AideĀ who is passionate about supporting elderlyĀ personsĀ in their journey.Ā TheĀ ActivitiesĀ AideĀ will workĀ to supportĀ a multidisciplinary care team led by a primary care provider to ensure whole-person, integrated care.Ā Also, this role will supportĀ the companyāsĀ activitiesĀ program.Ā Ā
Core Responsibilities & Expectations for the RoleĀ
- Under the direction of the Recreational Therapist or Activities Coordinator, this position will support the planning, coordination, and facilitation of daily activity programs designed to enhance the physical, cognitive, and social well-being of participants.Ā
- AssistĀ in implementing recreational, therapeutic, and social activities aligned with individual interests, abilities, and care plans.Ā
- Engage participants in group and one-on-one activities, fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment.Ā
- Monitor participant engagement and respond to changing needs,Ā ensuring safety and comfort at all times.Ā
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (e.g., nursing, social services, therapy) to support holistic care and participant experience.Ā
- Prepare activity materials, setĀ upĀ and clean up activity spaces, andĀ maintainĀ organization of supplies and equipment.Ā
- Document participation, progress, and any notable observationsĀ in accordance withĀ organizational policies.Ā
- Encourage independence and participation while providingĀ appropriate assistanceĀ as needed.Ā
- SupportĀ special events, outings, and community-based activities as assigned.Ā
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA compliance.Ā
- Build positive relationships with participants, families, and team members, contributing to a respectful and team-oriented culture.Ā
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, participant-centered environment.Ā
- Performs related duties as assigned.Ā
Required Qualifications:Ā Ā
- OneĀ year's experienceĀ supportingĀ a social or recreational program that coordinates and provides services for a frail or elderly population.Ā
- A minimum of twoĀ year'sĀ experienceĀ working with the frail or elderly.Ā
- Working knowledge of physical, psychosocial, and behavioral needs of the elderly population.Ā
- Demonstrate creative abilities toĀ supportĀ planning, development, and implementation ofĀ varied activities to meetĀ diverseĀ needs.Ā
- Must have excellent skills in verbal and written communication, listening, problem solving, and conflict resolution.Ā
- Displays sensitivity, compassion, and respect for people of diverse cultures.Ā
- Proof of medical clearance for communicable diseases, including a TB test.Ā
- Proof of all immunizations are up to date.Ā
- Proof of current CPR/BLS certification required or requirement to obtain withinĀ 30 daysĀ ofĀ employment.Ā
- Proof of valid CA driverās license, personal transportation,Ā good drivingĀ recordĀ and auto insurance as required by State law.Ā
Preferred Qualifications:Ā
- Bilingual: Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred.Ā
- Education or training in geriatrics and dementia programmingĀ preferred, good working knowledge of dementia disease process.Ā
- A state issued driverās license, personal transportation, and auto insurance as required by law.Ā

Compensation:Ā Ā
WeĀ considerĀ an individualās qualifications, skillset, and experience inĀ determiningĀ finalĀ salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, participation in the companyās equity program, and paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position isĀ $22- $25 per hour. The actual offer will be at the companyās sole discretion andĀ determinedĀ by relevant business considerations, including the final candidateās qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location.Ā
