Successful applicants will be reliable, have their own transportation and be available for shifts starting 6AM.
ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Millwork Production Manager, the Production Worker - Carpenter performs skilled labour, material handling, tool work and assembly duties involved in the manufacture of custom retail fixtures. This is a full-time position at our facility in Campbell Heights, Surrey BC.
Shift will be 6:00AM to 2:30PM Monday to Friday
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and setup machines and tooling for woodwork manufacturing
- Operate woodworking machines including saws, milling and sanding machines safely and efficiently
- Ensure that products meet project specifications, making adjustments as necessary Perform general labour tasks, including clean-up duties and materials handling
- Read and interpret basic drawings or production instructions
- Assemble products according to specifications
- Maintain company's quality, safety, and productivity standards
- Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs (23kg) as required
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post secondary training or apprenticeship hours in carpentry
- 3-5 years of experience in woodworking
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (23kg)
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Ability to follow instructions, stay focused, and work under pressure
- Detail-oriented with basic math and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal communications skills
